Wedding Favors with a Cause

There are only so many nuts, cookies and chocolates your guests can eat. Making a donation to your favorite charity is becoming more and more popular. But how to let your guests know the donation has been made can get tricky. Unless you are the mother of the bride with a passion. We recently had the pleasure of working with a mom who was determined to make sure their contribution to their favorite charity didn’t go unnoticed. She began by sponsoring a pet (yes a pet) in honor of every guest on their guest list (not just those able to attend the wedding). Each contribution put the guest on the mailing list for Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Kanab, Utah. At the wedding, each guest received a beautiful booklet engraved (http://www.nine-graindesign.com/) with Best Friends Mission Statement and a note from the bride and groom letting the guest know that a pet had been sponsored in their name and how they could continue to support their pet in the future. Upon opening the booklet the guest received a color photo of their pet with a very detailed bio of their pet. To top it off, the booklet was wrapped in a white organza bag with a dog bone engraved necklace (http://www.semarier.net/) which served as the guest placecard. By the end of the night, each guest at this black tie affair was wearing the necklace. It was truly our pleasure to work with our mother of the bride. Her dedication and personal attention to this very special detail went noticed by all of her guests. She insisted on being a part of the assembly process and we appreciated the opportunity to be a part of such a special favor!
