‘Tis Tuxedo Season!

Wednesday, May 25th, 2011

At Soirée Productions, Prom tuxes are incredibly fun…all the nervous and excitable young men endlessly popping in, all the way up until the morning of Prom to get fitted,(or find out if it is too late to order!).

Although the tuxes we provide are rental and not custom, I feel like a professional at measuring! The guys all looked fabulous and without a doubt, their dates appreciated having such studly gentlemen to escort them.

One of my favorites this year was the very modern and sleek white stand up collar and button-less jacket with a black shirt and pants underneath.  I was pleasantly  surprised at how fantastic this looked on all age ranges.

As we spring forward into our busier part of the year, Wedding Season, we are at it again suiting up men in Wedding parties: Fathers, Grooms, Groomsmen and Ringbearers…

We have an incredibly easy system to get all your men dressed up just right, and ready for their big day. Contact us and we will help you get all your men looking instantly suave!

Thoughts of spring….

Friday, March 18th, 2011

The last few weeks at the Soirée Productions studio has been busy for us. Full of events and parties, both ones that we attend and of course, ones that we manage. In the midst of all the busy-ness, my focus has also been on the revamp, or rather, updating and reorganizing of the Soirée Productions website (which you should definitely check out if you haven’t ).  While going through our literally thousands of photos, I realized that some of them were stoking my anticipation for continuous sunshine.

Since this weekend is the Official  beginning of Spring, I thought I would share this feminine and fun glimpse into brighter days with you, Soirée style.

Some Notes: Of course, our great designers planned and designed this beautiful day, but there are a few people we should mentioned that also largely contributed to this perfect summer day: The Ceremony and Reception were both held at the beautiful Zermatt Resort. The fabulous photos were by Pepper Nix.The bride’s lovely gown was Vera Wang from Alta Moda Bridal Boutique. The gorgeous floral was provided by Orchid Dynasty. Catering was done by Zermatt Resort.

Gateway Bridal and Prom: Bridal we Love

Wednesday, February 23rd, 2011

Even though we are located in Park City, we still are great friends with many of the vendors surrounding us…One of our favorites, Gateway Bridal  and Prom, is located in the Gateway Mall in downtown Salt Lake. We enjoy our visits with owner Nicole and her staff of twelve delightful consultants. Gateway Bridal is so full of beautiful gowns, dresses and accessoires, that you just can’t resist the desire to look at and feel every dress on their racks.gownsnveils

Because of their substantial selection of Bridal, Evening, Prom, Bridesmaid, Mother of the Bride and Flowergirl dresses, you are sure to find the dress of your dreams. Even though their showroom is an overflowing collection of great gowns,  they pride themselves on providing the special boutique service that every bride and her party deserve.

We love  to share  only the best with every bride that comes to us. We know that suggesting Gateway Bridal and Prom means that we know our brides’ every need will be satisfied.

For years, the ladies at Gateway Bridal and Prom have brought both bridal fashion and affordability to Salt Lake and beyond. In their vast amount of gowns, you will find diversity. Their selections include diverse choices-you can find styles that are modest and fashionable as well as designer styles from couture lines.

Private appointments with the consultants are available Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 7:00p.m. to 8:30p.m. During these appointments, the entire showroom is reserved for the bride and the consultant is available to cater to her every need. The experience that is provided for the bride is exclusive, intimate and so indulgent, even appetizers are included! These appointments are in such high demand that it is suggested to call at least two days prior to schedule your appointment.

In their continuous efforts to provide and share the best with brides everywhere, you will also find great trunk shows at Gateway Bridal. Their next upcoming trunk show will feature gowns by designer Jane Wang you can check it out during March 2nd-5th.  Click here for more information and to make an appointment.

What Will Kate Wear | White Couture

Friday, June 18th, 2010

Kate and William

I was a big fan of Princess Di and now it looks like I think Kate is just as wonderful!  As soon as I saw her in the perfect cage hat and veil I knew she would be a hit.  So recently asked a group of designers to design a gown they think the next Princess should wear.  Reem Acra and Amsale were among the best and rumor has it she is considering one of the two.  So who will it be?  You decide.  Here are the sketches provided by two designers currently available at White Couture.  What do you think?

Reem Acra

Reem Acra for Kate

This ivory silk gazar A-line gown with a square neckline and long sleeves would feature French Alençon lace accents at the wrists, veil, and tiers of the gown. “The simple elegance of the gown reflects her personal style,” says the designer. “I used French Alençon lace accents to honor the traditional styles worn by previous royal brides, to whom Kate will undoubtedly be compared.” To view more gowns by Reem Acra, click here.

Amsale For KateThe designer, known for her modern interpretions of traditional bridal fashion, would dress Kate in this subtly beaded Alençon lace gown that features cap sleeves, a romantic, ballerina neckline, and a cathedral length train. “The gown is reflective of Kate’s young, fresh style with a nod to tradition,” says Amsale. “The silhouette is elegant and refined, and the fabric is all about texture—corded lace, soft beading, and detailed thread work.” To view more gowns by Amsale, click here.

What is a Trunk Show? | White Couture Designer Bridal & Tuxedos

Tuesday, June 1st, 2010

A trunk show is a special event, hosted by at White Couture, which features one designer. At our trunk shows, you will have the opportunity to view the designer’s entire collection, as well as preview the new collection that may not yet be in stores! The gowns are sent directly from the designer to us so we may display the gowns for one weekend.

A representative from the designer’s studio is usually present to consult with us and our brides and style your wedding day look. The representative works closely with us in her studio in New York and can help customize your gown to create a one of a kind look. These representatives are experts in fabric, fit and construction and can answer any questions about the gowns or the process on the spot.

White Couture always offers you a special promotion during a trunk show weekend.  Typically you can count on 10% savings or a complimentary gift with purchase.  Join us for our trunk shows and take advantage of these opportunities.  For a list of upcoming events, visit our website.  We look forward to assisting you!

Typical FAQ’s:

Do I need to make an appointment?

It is best to make an appointment to ensure that enough time with a consultant and representative is blocked out just for you.

Can I bring someone with me?

Of course! It’s a good idea to bring someone with you to help you choose your gown. Bring someone whose opinion you trust, and who can be supportive and helpful in your gown search. Since the trunk show usually only runs for 2 days, it is important that you bring whomever you need to bring to make your decision once you find your dream gown at White Couture.

Try to avoid bringing too many people. Shopping for a wedding gown can be an emotional and overwhelming process, and too many opinions can sometimes confuse you. If you want your bridal party or other friends to view your gown, or be a part of the process, consider bringing them to one of your fittings.

How is a trunk show appointment different than a regular appointment?

A trunk show appointment allows you to view the entire collection available from the designer. A trunk show is a great time to work closely with the designer representative to style your wedding day look, since they are experts in wedding styling and can suggest custom changes to perfect your gown for you.

A trunk show appointment is different than a regular appointment in that the gowns are only there for one weekend, so it is a great time to find and finalize your perfect gown!
