Summer Wedding Celebration

The team at Soirée Productions is so excited to tell you one of our favorite weddings will be featured in Inside Weddings Magazine.  This wedding had great detail and was fun from beginning to end.  The save the dates were vintage postcards of the bride and groom created by Nine Grain Design.  We created a logo that would be carried out throughout the entire wedding.  The welcome celebration kicked off the weekend with a BBQ at Silver Lake Lodge in Deer Valley, while the wedding nuptials were celebrated at Empire Canyon Lodge.  The evening began to look like it might rain on our parade but then suddenly the sun came out and shined upon all of the guests.  The bride and groom were married under the Chuppah and as they recessed down the aisle guests sprinkled lavendar to wish them well.  Following the ceremony guests enjoyed cocktail hour on the deck.  Everyone danced the night away to music provided by the Salamander Band.  The room was filled with long rectangular tables for 8-16 guests while floral topped each table with a variety of arrangements.  We worked with Val Rasmussen of StellaPosy to finish each table top perfectly.  Each place setting highlighted square chargers and china we found at Diamond Rental.  Sarah Drown of Sparkle Photography captured the day and tells the story with her photographs.  Our team at White Couture helped the bridesmaids to select their perfect Vera Wang dress all in the purple and navy hues.  Each bridesmaid selected the style that worked best for her and with a variety of styles it was easy to do.  The evening concluded with a midnight snack for guests to enjoy on their ride home-the sliders and french fries were a big hit!  Everything about this wedding came together perfectly.  We chose to submit it to share nationally because our planners felt this wedding showed what you can do while still keeping your budget within reason.  Not a detail was left out and mom and dad were pleased with the budget!  Thank you for allowing Soirée Productions to assist you in planning the perfect celebration!

Tip Tuesday | Winter Wedding Ceremony | Silver Lake Lodge

Tuesday, December 1st, 2009

Winter is an incredible time in Park City, Utah and the Deer Valley areas.  Such an appropriate place to have a wedding ceremony if you are an avid skier.  Our client planned a beautiful wedding in the mountains and the theme the entire weekend was skiing and snowboarding.  She a skier and he a snowboarder made Park City and Deer Valley the appropriate place.  Guests traveled from all over the United States to attend the wedding, some spending up to one week in the area.  The ceremony took place with great views of the beautiful mountains of Deer Valley in the Bald Mountain room of Silver Lake Lodge.  We set up for 250 guests.  The chuppah was rustic and made of aspen tree branches and beautiful white floral.  Val of StellaPosy and Soiree teamed up to bring the outdoor in.  With great lighting, lots of candlelight, and white floral the fresh snow capped mountains glistened outside.  Did I mention the bride and groom arrived to their wedding ceremony via horse and sleigh?  So appropriate for the venue.  The only other option was to ski in…I’m sure if we had suggested it, they both would have considered it.  Thanks Sarah and Michael for making us a part of this wonderful day.

Tip Tuesday: Make it Personal

Tuesday, November 17th, 2009

We had a wonderful opportunity to work with a client who has a love for tradition.  Let me explain…She had her bouquet tied with the ribbon from a bouquet she caught at a wedding last year with her then “boyfriend”.  Her father sang at her wedding ceremony just as he did the day he married her mother.  All of these little things made their ceremony special.  As a planner, I recommend every bride add a little bit of tradition and their personal touch into their own wedding day to make it that much more special.  Everything this bride chose had a special meaning to her.  The photos, the toasting flutes, the hanky, earrings…the list goes on.  How wonderful for her to include a piece of her memories on her special day.  One of my favorite things about this wedding were the place cards.  She and the groom share personal feelings about apples so we incorporated apple candles falling from their own tree and attached the name of each guest and table assignments.  The entire wedding decor showcased a vintage feel.  The peach and apple green flowers were placed in vintage urns.  The linens were a wonderful green moire.  The accent tables were highlighted with a floral damask that was perfect for the vintage look.  From parrot tulips, old family photos, elegant linens, apples galore and a perfect wedding cake beaded with ivory swirls; this wedding came together beautifully.  To top it all off the bride wore a gorgeous Rivini lace gown with an organza sash.  Her accessories although new, were personally made by a friend at vintage bling.  Finally, their custom logo was carried out in their welcome bags, table numbers and cocktail napkins.   The bride and groom have relocated to Canada to begin their new life together.  Thanks to you both for letting us share in your special day!  We wish you love and happiness always.

Tip Tuesday: Outdoor Wedding Splendor

Tuesday, November 10th, 2009

phpThumbCA92U1VXmg_5198Utah’s Resorts are top tier for skiing but what about weddings? Utah’s resorts also have great outdoor space for weddings. Outdoor ceremonies are a popular choice in the summer and fall months. Your décor can be minimal or elaborate, colorful or monotone. Check the weather leading up to your wedding and make sure you have a back up plan in case the weather doesn’t cooperate. Most venues will automatically book a back up indoor space for your wedding but be sure and ask when you are scouting venues. You don’t want to be stuck having to rent a tent at the last minute. Some couples, even provide pashminas for their guests in case of cold weather or parasols for a hot and sunny day.  Regardless of your venue, be sure to run through a checklist of questions to ask and select the one that is right for you.  Soiree Productions is happy to provide you with our complimentary templates that include a venue checklist.  Give us a call at (435) 655-2943 and request your copy or stop by our studio to view wonderful portfolios for each of these wonderful venues.  Make it a great day and worry free!RJW_5170IMG_1747empire montoge 2293400200110
