Soiree Ladies at Sundance…Part 2
Saturday, January 28th, 2012Soiree Ladies at Sundance…
Thursday, January 26th, 2012Every year, Park City is host to the Sundance Film Festival. Last year, I was able to attend one movie. It was enough to get me hooked. This year, the Soiree Ladies decided to really make an experience out of it. Below is Part One of the Vlog of our fun.
Dining at Deer Valley
Wednesday, December 28th, 2011As 2011 comes to a close, I am excited to share one of my most favorite winter experiences available in Park City (there are multiple favorites, but this is definitely high on the list!).
The Deer Valley Dine Around. There is not much more to be desired in life than to get to experience the food of Deer Valley Resort. At all of their venues. In one evening.
I am here to share my food coma experience with you, in hopes that you will be inspired by the delectable edibles of Deer Valley Resort and make your reservation at one of their restaurants. ASAP.
After all, you will definitely need a reservation, it’s no secret how amazing their food and service is.
We began by driving up to Deer Valley Grocery Café for a little introduction.
The Deer Valley Grocery Café really is fun, they carry a full bar and shelves stocked with lots of local goodies to meet your snack time needs.
After the group devoured our kick-off sips, we boarded the shuttle and the dine-around crew made our way to Silver Lake Lodge.
Silver Lake is a lovely venue for parties and weddings, and it doubles as a great restaurant.
Here, you will find Silver Lake Restaurant, Royal Street Café, and Mariposa.
From intimate dining to a grab-and-go breakfast, Silver Lake Lodge has options sure to please everyone.
The lodge is host to one of Park City’s most unique dining experiences. Specially prepared Swiss Raclette, and all the sides, combined with fire roast leg of lamb, kettle cooked stews, and even incredible fire melted fondue -all nestled in some of the most gorgeous aspens you can find.
After we had our fill at Empire, we returned to our shuttle and were on path to the ever popular Snow Park. I was excited for the last stop on our little tour…I was already full…but I knew the famous Snow Park Restaurant Seafood Buffet and the Snow Park Bakery were waiting for me…so I rolled myself into the restaurant trying to find space for yet more amazing food I simply knew awaited me…
Winter Weddings…Bring on the magic!
Wednesday, November 2nd, 2011As I woke to the first real snow fall of the season in Park City yesterday…a little spark was lit inside of me. All of a sudden, I started to obsess about that perfect cup of hot cocoa, fresh baked winter goodies and warm, fuzzy boots. I let my thoughts wander and my reminiscing mind led me to an incredibly intimate wedding from last winter. The bride, an absolute southern belle, wanted to share the most special moments of her new life, in true wintry holiday fashion. No place better than Park City for this.
The bride and her groom met at the Montage for an emotional first peek. The snow was falling perfectly that day, as if it was sprinkling only to make their day appear as fresh and beautiful as ever.
She chose to have her wedding at Empire Canyon Lodge and to celebrate with Deer Valley’s famous fireside dining experience. The evening fulfilled itself to be unique, romantic and overflowing with holiday and wedding spirit. At the end of the night, the happy newlyweds departed with an incredible sparkler send off with all of their dearest friends cheering them on.
A nearby horse drawn sleigh whisked them away into the night to begin their happily ever after.
The enchantment of winter and all that it brings never ceases to amaze me. I am certain that with the snow, magic falls and creates landscapes and beauty incomparable to anything else.
Cheers to the beginnings of cozy fireplace evenings, snow angels and winter weddings!
Let the Seasons Change!
Thursday, October 13th, 2011One of my favorite things about life in Utah is that we experience every season. We get just enough of every season to let us anticipate the change. One minute you’re enjoying the summer heat and the next, you find yourself awaking to crispy cool Autumn mornings. When that happened this year…we couldn’t stop talking about all the great things that the cold weather brings.
Specifically, we are really excited for cozy evenings and long dinners with great friends. This is perfect, especially for all of our lovely winter brides and their guests. The Waldorf Astoria is not only a lovely place to have dinner anytime, but it is especially perfect for celebratory evenings! Park City is simply overflowing with great hot spots, and the Waldorf Astoria is definately one of them.
To get your taste buds obsessing, check out the amazing photos from an evening with ZumaPhoto from last fall. We can’t wait to see what they bring to the table this winter. Cheers!
