Theme Weddings Are A Hit

Monday, September 15th, 2008

When guests received their wedding invitation and were asked to RSVP to Camp P&B they might have been confused except these campers new Paula and Ben were summer campers so it made sense. Each camper was greeted at the beautiful Sundance Resort by our Camp Counselors (Soiree Planners) who “registered” each camper and distributed the camp itinerary (wedding weekend schedule) along with their care packages (welcome baskets). The weekend festivities began with a wonderful welcome celebration with a bluegrass band, country–barbeque, and smores on the deck. Each guest roasted their marshmallows and sang their favorite songs around the campfire (well not really the campfire but…). This summer camp kick off was the lead to a great weekend. On Saturday, campers were off and participated in hiking, biking, fly-fishing, and more! The ceremony began on the Screening Room Gallery Lawn at 6:30 pm and even though mother nature decided to sprinkle a few drops the ceremony continued while the guests sat patiently under their umbrellas and the bride and groom were married under the chuppah. After the ceremony, campers were escorted to the “mess hall” for dancing, dinner, and more dancing! Every camper was up and dancing the night away under the disco ball in celebration of the bride and groom. Each guest was assigned a “bunk” (table) and the delightful menu was enjoyed by all. This summer camp celebration ended on Sunday with a farewell brunch where campers reminisced the wonderful weekend together.

This theme wedding was one of the best we have had the pleasure of assisting with. Paula and Ben carried out the theme with every detail making it a true theme wedding. Thank you for allowing us to make your wedding celebration such a fun weekend! Our planners had a blast and can’t wait to go to camp.

Kids Table…Make it the Fun Table!

Saturday, September 13th, 2008

Who said going to a wedding when you are a kid isn’t fun? Soiree planners encourage all of their clients to remember everyone at their wedding. Make the kids table the fun table everyone wants to be assigned. At this wedding, Table #9 was the table with the rustic crate of wooden crayons, covered in kraft color butcher paper for drawing during dinner and toasts (a good way to “kill” time) and kids kits from My Wedding Ways http://www.myweddingways.com/ to keep each of these young guests entertained! Not only was the table a hit, but these guests can’t wait for the next wedding they are invited to attend. Let’s hope every bride reads about our kids kits!
